The points below have been taken from the Risk Assessment that the club has had to submit to the League, in order for us to participate safely in the league.
Each club has also submitted its own Risk Assessment, so please familiarise yourself with and respect any specific covid-compliance requirements at other clubs (as recommended to be available on their websites as well as that of WDLTA).
In addition to regular sanitising of your hands and maintaining a 2m distance wherever possible, please familiarise yourself with the following points specific to WTC:
- The Clubhouse will remain locked and out of use at all times.
- If you have the means, scan the track and trace QR code.
- Sanitise your hands before and after going on court.
- No spectators are allowed, however junior players may be accompanied by one adult only.
- Other than same households and support bubble members, car sharing to away matches should not take place to protect both Home and Away players.
- Other than car share, players should leave the club once their games have been completed.
- When a match has finished, away players must remain on court awaiting the next home pair. Home players must leave the court when the next home players arrive, maintaining social distancing.
- You should keep your bags with you on court at all times.
- No physical contact i.e. racket touch at end of a match.
- Only one person in the Coaches’ Office at one time.
- Signage to be introduced so players are made aware as to whether the Toilet in the Coaches’ Office is occupied
- Face Coverings should be worn when in the Coaches’ Office.
- No post-match socialising. WTC will not provide post-match refreshments. All players to disperse immediately post-match completion.
- In the event of adverse weather, players should return to their cars until resumption of play is possible or match abandonment. Players must not gather.
- You must bring your own drinks – no drinking water is available.
- With the possibility of 24 cars on the car park when 2 men’s team are at home, please park considerately leaving adequate access to the Clubhouse (should emergency vehicles require access). You may have to park on Winstanley Road if required.
Information for Team Captains:
- Team captains may at times not be able to maintain a 2-metre social distance eg when completing the match card. If absolutely unavoidable, wearing a face covering and maintaining 1 metre distance must be adhered to.
- Team Captains must ensure that the Coaches’ Office is opened prior to each match.
- Team Captains must ensure that Coaches’ Office toilet area is sanitised prior to the match and relevant hygiene material is available.
- Team Captains must ensure that Coaches’ Office is secured at the end of play.
