Another way of supporting the club is by becoming involved in its ‘200 Club’ : this is a draw which is run by Barbara to raise extra funds for the Club.
Each member of the ‘200 Club’ buys a number costing £12 per year, which is entered into 12 draws during the playing season (April to September).
At each draw, 3 monetary prizes are awarded, with an extra pay out for the final draw. The prize money will vary depending on the number of entrants into the draw.

To give you an idea of how much social events have been part of club life, here is a list of Social events held in 2019, pre-pandemic time.
SATURDAY 6th April – Afternoon at the Races, 2.00-6.00ish : Grand National afternoon tea, raffle and sweep races, best hat competition and entertainment by Ryan James; tickets are £10 pp.
Friday 12th April – Family Easter Games Night starting at 7.30 pm to include an
Easter Bunny (Beetle) Drive, Easter Egg Bingo and Play Your Cards Right.
Lots of Easter eggs for all the winners!
Tickets just £5 each from Ros, Wendy and Christine, or pay on the door. Light
refreshments included.
Friday 7th June– Quiz Night, teams of 3 or 4, £5 each player; light buffet included; email Bill with your teams on billdow@hotmail.com
Friday 21st June – Games Night for Ladies – a fun evening of games for members and friends including a Beetle Drive and Bingo.
Tickets £5 from Wendy or pay on the door. Raffle and nibbles.
Friday 26th July – Ukulele Evening, £12 incl. hotpot/apple pie; tickets from Bill.
Sunday 11th August – New Members afternoon (all Members welcome); 2.00 pm
Friday 23rd August – Social Evening for Members – drinks at reduced prices!
Friday 6th September – Men’s End of Season Meal, 7.00 pm for a 7.45 pm meal. This will be the usual format – Italian meal/pizza/apple pie. £12 per head.
Friday 13th September – Ladies End of Season Evening, 7.30 pm start. As a change this will be a faith supper in the clubhouse to which all ladies are invited to bring along some food, either sweet or savoury to share. There will be a raffle, a quiz and the bar will be open. All ladies are most welcome
Friday&Saturday 20/21 September – < CANCELLED! > Beer, Gin and Prosecco Festival : this has been organised in conjunction with Orrell Rugby Club and Winstanley Cricket Club on Friday 20th September 5.00 – 10 pm, and Saturday 21st September 12.00 – 10.00 pm and is being held at the tennis club.

Saturday 26th October – < POSTPONED UNTIL JULY/AUGUST 2020 > Dusty Springfield Tribute Night – £10 incl. light refreshments
Friday 20th November – BodyShop Party – always a popular evening, admission is just £5 on the night.
Friday 6th December – Christmas Ukulele Singalong : tickets £12 inc. hotpot and apple pie, from Bill, Kath or Christine.
The bar will be open for all clubhouse events; they start at 7.30 pm, unless stated otherwise; tickets should be obtained in advance and are available from Christine/Kath/Bill
