Following the confirmation by the Prime Minister on Monday (23 November) that England will return to a three-tier system of regional restrictions once the current lockdown period ends at 00:01 on 2 December, the LTA is working with DCMS and Sport England on the full details of what it means for tennis.
However, we can confirm that:
- Outdoor tennis will be able to resume across all tiers and therefore the courts and coach’s room will be open from next Wednesday morning (2nd December).
Please continue to follow the guidelines that were in place before the current lockdown: use hand sanitiser before going onto the court and after you leave the court; there is no need to wind down the nets after use; maintain social distancing wherever practicably possible; use the court booking system to ensure a court is free before you turn up at the club and so that we can keep track as to who has been at the club; scan the QR code; stay at home if you feel unwell with any Covid-19 symptoms.
